State Pension Fund (VER) chosen as the best pension fund in Finland

The State Pension Fund has been recognised as the best pension investor in Finland. The State Pension Fund won the award for Best Pension Fund in Finland in the IPE European Pension Fund Awards, an annual competition organised by Investment and Pension Europe (IPE) magazine. This was the fourth time that VER won the award for Best Pension Fund in Finland.

According to the jury, VER is “an excellent example of a fund using international opportunities to meet domestic requirements”. VER’s emphasis on a total return and good risk-adjusted returns along with the development of dynamic allocations were also reasons for winning.
Numerous pension funds from all over Europe took part in the IPE European Pension Fund Awards, which was being held for the 14th time. The award for Best European Pension Fund went to the PensionDanmark from Denmark. The ten year average nominal return on VER’s investment operations has been 5.8%.
